Bismillah

I should be doing my Matlab assignment right now, but I would like to set aside a few minutes for my shukr to Allah and an appreciation to my visitors by writing some thoughts that came into my mind earlier this morning.

I was busy cleaning up Adam while 'talking' to Hajar, when suddenly I thought of how wonderful the parents-children relationship is. I am responsible for my kids' upbringing and making sure they fully understand their main objective in this world, that is to serve and to please The Creator, Allah Azzawajall. While the children in return, should be treating their parents with kindness and respect. This is just a simple relationship that I immediately thought of, but I believe the parents-children relationship is more complex and includes many more things. Maybe you guys should be thinking about them.

Anyway, what happen if a child claims that (s)he loves his/her parents, but does not practice the religion(Islam)? How would a child make dua and pray for his/her parents once the parents have passed away? Do the child really loves and cares about her/his parents if (s)he does not even care to pray and make dua to Allah?

How many people think that they are the greatest child in the world, and that their parents are the most luckiest parents?

How many people think that being good to parents in this dunya is enough to prove their love towards parents, while they ignore the responsibilities as servants of Allah at the same time?

Do people even think of showing continuous love to their parents by respecting and treating their parents well, staying in obedience to Allah, making lots of dua for their parents during their lives and after?

How many people are blinded by love through materials only?

Having a certificate does not necessarily means one is knowledgeable...

I am quoting Dr. Asri here. He said that many students treat their education at higher learning institutes as a mean to get jobs after graduation. This includes students in the field of Islamic knowledge i.e syariah, arabic, etc. Students no longer going after the knowledge, but they are after decent or even easy jobs with handsome pay. Thus, having a degree or a certificate does not necessarily mean a person is knowledgeable in his/her field anymore.

Alhamdulillah I've the chance to listen to a small part of Dr. Asri's talk this afternoon as my husband opened the online video. I have just started my MS degree and I think this is a good reminder to me to get as much of knowledge as I can while I am here, to go after the knowledge and not after the rewards. It's true that securing a job is important for all of us, but it cannot be everything and the only thing in mind.

This can be a good reminder to all of us. It's important to set aside material things for more important and noble matters. knowledge is sacred and will be beneficial if its practiced and utilized properly. Money is only for the dunya and we'll never feel enough of it until we die. Money keeps us busy and worry while knowledge can lead us to contentment and happiness both in this life and the hereafter.

Bismillah

How are you doing today? Thank you for stopping by and reading my entries in this blog. Jazakallahu khaeer. May you'll gain some benefits from your time spent here.

It's super tuesday here in California and for the other 23 states in America. People are going out and voting for their candidates. These people are hoping to vote for the best person to become their representative who'll hear their voices.

speaking about leaders whom we can trust and rely on...
hundreds of years ago, great leaders were born under the great leadership of prophet Muhamad who's a messenger to the mankind. people were blessed under their leadership and guidance. people looked very highly at their leaders as the leaders did their best to fulfil their responsibilities. The leaders never took the positions as ways of getting fame and wealth, but they took the positions as a fulfillment of their obligation to God.

those people are the best people and they deserved great and noble leaderships.
it's all happened in the history, and how about us?who are our leaders? and who are we?

think as the clock's ticking...

What is a late fee? well, usually it is a fee/fine that's imposed if we pay or submit something over its due date. For example, the monthly rent should be paid no later than the 3rd of each month. Failure to do so will cause in a late fee of USD75.(lots of money!Nupac is so very expensive!)

What if Allah set late fee for everything that we done out of its preset timing? Say, if Fajr is on 5am, and after 510am, there would be a USD1 late fee, and there was late fee for every delayed prayer.

How much would we owe to Allah? (Btw, there's 'pahala' reduction for every delayed prayer. But since its not physical and we cant see the effects right away, people often take it lightly). Let's call it the fee for procrastination. Can we afford it? What if someone's not praying at all? doesnt he/she deserve more severe punishment for that?

p/s:procrastination often brings troubles!

Bismillah

I have lots of reasons to thank Allah today. From the O2 that goes into my lungs to my fingers that are clicking on the keyboard right now.

Sometimes Allah gave us 'problems' and trials to go through. So, we might went through hard times, worried about things, or felt sad and blue. Some might cried, protested, fought, or just gave in. All of these were making us stronger or might I say, wiser, by learning through these experiences. If life was just smooth and silky, we might forgot to return to Allah and gave thank to Him. We would become the most forgetful servants and have the weakest hearts.

These past few days have reminded me of Allah's mercy and greatness. It's very easy and simple for Him to turn things around. A belonging that was lost, was found. Some things that seemed impossible were made possible, one process that i thought would take too long was done in no time.

How could I worried too much about things when I can always return to Allah and ask for His help?

bismillah
.
the luxury of having a free time(read:all the time and space just for oneself) is quite rare lately. Now, I can really appreciate the advise of 'use your spare time wisely before u get busy'(sounded like this more or less).

As I am writing this down(after several breaks and trials), I still have other tasks to do.In other words, I have to do several things concurrently. No more free time :).

Maybe writing is an easy thing to do if it is the only thing to be done at one time. However, writing can be nearly impossible if it has to be done between many other things, or during those short seconds before running to the next, waiting task.

So, people, be grateful enough if you have the wonderful opportunity to sit down all by yourself and write without interruptions! It's a blessing :)

Btw, dont get me wrong. I am very grateful that I am a 'busy' woman (read:daughter, student, wife, and mother). I've got to do lots of things in a very short time. I've become more effective in time management. So, believe that Allah has created everything for a purpose. No matter how things go, there are always good things come with them.

So, believe and give thanks to Allah :)
